First of all, let me begin by saying how amazing it is that there's always something to feast your eyes on in (quite, literally) every corner of this city. There's always something to marvel at, most especially in Westminster, Parliament Square, & White Hall - of course, the most sought after by tourists
With its flamboyant carvings and ancient monuments
And iconic guards
And don't forget the telephone booths
Then there's Trafalgar Square: overwhelmingly busy with tourists and street performers/vendors.
Also visited the National Gallery which holds the most exquisite of paintings.
Then came Leicester Square... where I came to the realisation that not even a place with such a selection and variety of restaurants could remedy indecisiveness in choosing meals. It, in fact, only worsens the effect.
But after roaming around for a bit, we decided on an English pub, to get the full experience, of course. (:
For lunch: traditional fish and chips for the sister and a mozzarella&tomato baguette for me with extremely light beer & supposedly light ale.
And after refueling came the Buckingham Palace which was kind of a disappointment but nonetheless better than the Norwegian Castle, so who am I to complain?
And the last stop: Covent Garden for paella and shopping! :D
And before heading back to the hotel, stopped for some drinks at Cafe Rouge.
For me: cidre - the best one I've tasted yet
& For the sister - beer...
